Dodgen Interiors is a boutique interior design firm based in Pittsburgh. The firm takes a couture approach to the art of good living through design. Benjamin Hayes, the founder, leads the direction of the firm. Dodgen Interiors has gained recognition for its work, which is not defined by a particular style. Instead, the firm combines versatility and a flair for creating timelessly elegant interiors. Benjamin brings solid historical perspective and refinement to projects of any scope.

All aspects of Benjamin's approach to design are characterized by an understanding of harmony and restraint. The firm is built on the traditions of classic design, and each project is tailored to reflect and enhance the client’s style of living. With Benjamin's ability to edit, refine and distill the elements of each room, the result is an understated, luxurious, and sophisticated interior.

Benjamin's passion, fueled by his love of travel, is to develop a design that is a mix of worldly periods and cultures coupled with his client’s own inspiration and personal references. He strives to cultivate his client’s sentiment with design elements that are elegant, timeless and utterly livable.

Dodgen Interiors Founder Benjamin Hayes, Interior Design Pittsburgh

Benjamin is an Ohio native who has always been interested in art, architecture, and history. During his family trips, he had the opportunity to visit many house museums, which sparked his love for architecture and interior design. According to him, it is essential to see architecture in situ to understand proportions, construction techniques, and interior design history. Benjamin is fascinated by the details of historic interiors and the stories they tell about their owners.

Benjamin graduated from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design. He has worked with many clients in his career, and with each project, he puts in much care and research by delving into books, archival photos and film, as well as the proclivities of his stylish clients. Benjamin believes that interior design should elevate a person's lifestyle and allow them to live a better life through tailored design.
